European Entrepreners @ DG GROW
A high level delegation of DG GROW welcomed on Oct. 22nd 2015 a delegation of European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME, for an exchange of views SME interests.
Secretary General, Mr. Walter Grupp, the designated Board member, Mr. Patrick Meinhardt (of BVMW), Managing Director, Mr. Stefan Moritz, and two delegates of CONFAPI, Mr. Alberto Castelli and Mr. Andrea Casasco, were welcomed by Mr. Pierre Delsaux, Deputy Director General of DG GROW, Ms. Kirstin Schreiber, Director of Directorate H (COSME Programme), Mr. Costas Andropoulos, Head of Unit COSME Programme and Relations with EASME, as well as Ms. Joanna Szychowska (Directorate C – Automotive and Mobility Industries), all of DG GROW.
It was a very important opportunity for European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME to present our confederation's work and positions, as well as to discuss with DG GROW some aspects regarding current concerns of our members, for example on the progress of the TTIP negotiations, enforcement of the freedom of services in posting of workers in some EU-countries, the impact of the VW scandal on the automotive industry and its subcontractors, the establishment of a non-food label "Made in EU" and a "second chance" initiative of the EC for honest bankrupt entrepreneurs, through improvement of the EU-insolvency law.
The DG GROW executives have promised to take into account our concerns and to tighten the collaboration with European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME in the future, e.g. also for the SME-Assembly 2016.
The European Commission has published a week after this meeting a promising roadmap for inititatives to upgrade the EU single market in 2016 and 2017. You can find the communication in EN, FR and DE here.
