Mr. Walter Grupp
Secretary General of European Entrepreuers CEA-PME
Walter Grupp is Lawyer, specialised in Fiscal law, and tax Consultant (IPC). Since 2004 he acts as Secretary General of CEA-PME. After his studies in Germany and France, he was trained at the E.C. in Luxembourg and at the World Bank in Washington D.C. Since 1987 he worked as Lawyer in Bruxelles, e.g. also for the German Embassy in Belgium, among others.
He was the founder and longtime owner of the Belgian companies InterGest (consulting and services for German companies in Belgium) and InterRecherche (acquisition and implementation of EU-funded projects).
He is since 2011 Senator of the European Economic Senate.
Mr Stefan Moritz
Managing Director of European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME
Stefan Moritz has a long years experience in EU-funded economic development projects with international partner networks all over the continent. After his studies in Sociology he moved to Italy where he founded 1999 together with other 4 partners the Consulting Firm AREA EUROPA scrl, with seats in Bologna and – since 2013 – in Bruxelles. He lead this company from 1999 until 2013, and manages since then the Bruxelles office.
He is an experienced Project Manager for regional economic development, European network manager, workshop facilitator and strategic advisor.
Stefan Moritz speaks fluently English, Italian and Spanish, plus some French and Dutch.
Count Jacques de Lalaing
Associate Director Governmental Affairs
Count Jacques de Lalaing, President of the Belgo-German Society, and founder nd Managing Director of Solar Power Group, as well as CEO of Sandhills a is one of the pioneers of Fresnel solar power and has established the very first large-scale linear Fresnel pilot unit in the world in the 1998s.
In his former capacity as Chief Technology Officer at Solarmundo, Belgium, he raised over five million Euros for research and development as well as commercialization of the new technology.
In 2004, he founded Solar Power Group, sharing around him a team of highly motivated international professionals active in sales, technology development and implementation.
Prof. Dr. Horst Fischer
Associate Director Economic Cooperation
After studying law Fischer, earned his PhD in 1984 from the University of Bochum with a thesis on international law and the use of nuclear weapons.
From 1990, he
served as member of several diplomatic delegations to conferences and meetings
of non-governmental organizations that dealt with the issues of international
humanitarian law and humanitarian assistance. He was also consultant on these
issues for the United Nations, the European Union, several national ministries
and various organizations such as the International Committee of the Red Cross
At Leiden University, he occupies the chair of international humanitarian law, he is also an Adjunct professor at Columbia University (SIPA), New York, as well as Visiting professor at the Vesalius College, Brussels. From 2002 - 2016 he had been president of the European Inter University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation in Venice.
Mr. Fernando Silva
Special Envoy for Trade Relations Europe - Africa / Latin America
Fernando Silva is specialised in Business Intelligence, Crisis Management, Corporate Diplomacy, Business Strategy as well as in Economic and Financial Assessment.
Fernando Silva studied Business Management and has a long experience in the sector in several international companies, also working in financing and investment solutions. For example he worked at a Swiss private bank as external consultant.
Since 2016 he acts as a Special Envoy for Trade Relations Europe - Africa / Latin America of European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME.
Fernando Silva speaks fluently Portuguese, Spanish, English, French and some Italian
Mr. Lorenzo Marchese
Lorenzo Marchese is a Communication and European Affairs Consultant who coordinates the communication activities of European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME. He started working with the association while overseeing the communication work of the MobiliseSME project.
Since 2014, he advises clients from different sectors on what is the best approach to the political world of the EU through public communication and campaigning. Previously, he has worked at the European Chemical Industry Council, where he was in charge of communication for European projects, and, preceding that, he did a traineeship at the Spokesperson Service of the European Commission supporting, among others, press relations for budgetary issues.
He graduated from the LSE with a Master in European Studies following his Degree and Master in Philosophy at the University of Warwick.
